M1 chaos: Two crashes bring traffic to a standstill

TWO separate crashes are causing chaos on the Pacific Motorway this morning, with motorists being warned to brace for lengthy delays.

The first accident happened at southbound at Exit 54 Coomera, just before 8.00am.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads says all lanes have been affected, with delays quickly banking up in the area.

Traffic is currently already back to Pimpama as a result.

The second crash happened northbound at Reedy Creek around 8.15am.

Witnesses have told myGC a ute and truck have collided. It’s not yet known if anyone has been injured.

Motorists are being urged to delay travel or seek alternative routes.
