M1 crashes causing long delays for afternoon motorists

Bad news for anyone travelling on the Pacific Motorway this afternoon, with several crashes causing a few delays.

A multi-vehicle crash happened northbound on the M1 in Helensvale around 4.00pm.

It’s not yet known how many people, if any, were injured, however the accident appears to be clearing quite quickly.

Long delays are also being experienced further north, due to a multi-vehicle crash at Eight Mile Plains.

“The Pacific Motorway near the Springwood Road exit is blocked due to a traffic crash,” Qld police warned.

“Southbound traffic is affected. If in the area, expect delays and avoid the area if possible.”

There’s even more delays for those heading back to the Gold Coast from Brisbane, with another crash on the M1 at Greenslopes.

Drivers are being urged to be patient and allow for extra travel time.

When will drivers learn to drive?
This happens almost every day and those at fault get a minimal fine for causing $1000s in lost production and down time.
Start the fines at $10k and the idiots will soon slow down or improve their driving skills.
Its a motor way with multiple lanes, there is just no excuse for bad driving.
