UPDATE @ 1.30 PM by Monique StClair | A truck driver has luckily avoided serious injury after a semi-trailer jackknifed on the M1 this morning.
Emergency services rushed to the northbound lanes near Stewart Road just before midday, following reports of the incident.
The large semi-trailer was facing backwards on arrival and was blocking off all three lanes.

Traffic delays have worsened throughout the afternoon, as crews attempt to get the vehicle off the road.
It’s understood a lane of traffic is able to get around the outside of the vehicle, but cars are moving incredibly slowly.
Paramedics have confirmed that they’ve looked over the driver, who was uninjured in the incident.
They won’t be transporting them to the hospital.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the M1 if possible this afternoon, with delays still stretching back towards Coolangatta.
Local traffic is also choked with those trying to dodge the motorway.
EARLIER @ 11.45AM by Matt McDonald | Motorists are being urged to avoid the M1 after a truck jack-knifed at Currumbin.
It happened in the northbound lanes just near Stewart Rd just before 11.40am.
All northbound lanes have been blocked as a result of the accident.
Northbound delays are already back over the New South Wales border, while there are also delays past the accident site through Elanora.
Police, Queensland Ambulance and QFES are all on scene.
It’s not clear yet if there are any injuries.
