EARLIER @ 10.30 AM | Motorists travelling southbound on the Pacific Motorway this morning are being warned to brace for delays.

Traffic is currently bumper to bumper all the way from Ormeau through to Helensvale on the M1.

According to the Department of Traffic and Main Roads, there’s no known traffic accidents or incidents causing the delays.

Instead, the congestion is believed to be the result of hundreds of people heading to our Gold Coast theme parks as school holidays come to an end.

Motorists are being urged to allow for extra travel time and to be patient.
