The M1 traffic woes are dragging on for even longer, causing headaches for commuters.
Drivers who live in Logan, north of the Gold Coast, and who have to battle the M1 crawl every day are spending even longer stuck in traffic than they were last year.
Figures from Transport and Main Roads reveal those motorists are caught in stop start conditions for an extra two hours a week more than in 2015.

It’s also estimated that 140,000 vehicles travel along the M1 between Beenleigh and Underwood each day.
The result has prompted Logan City Council to beg for extra federal funds in the lead-up to the election on July 2.
175,000 new homes will be added to the Logan region in the next 20 years.
That will put extra pressure on the already-congested Pacific Motorway.
