Day one of the Magic Millions 2017 Gold Coast Yearling Sale got off to a flying start, with thousands packing into the Magic Millions Sales Complex at Bundall.
The sale, which is on until the 17th of January, will see more than 1000 world-class thoroughbreds pass through the auction ring.
Across the first day of the sale over $35.9 million changed hands on 187 lots sold at an average price of $192,016.
Lot 232 stole the show late in the day, with leading Queensland bloodstock agent Craig Rounsefell of Boomer Bloodstock paying $900,000 for the Dundeel-Miss Finland colt.
It capped a great day’s selling with opening day records falling across the board.
