Update @ 9.00am: A man in his 30s has been rushed to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
It’s believed he suffered head and shoulder injuries, after he was knocked off his bike by a car on Brisbane road earlier this morning.
Paramedics treated him briefly at the scene, before taking him to the Gold Coast University Hospital under lights and sirens.

The driver of the vehicle is still being assessed at the scene.
Paramedics have confirmed the driver hasn’t sustained any injuries, though is very distressed.
Traffic delays in the area continue.
Earlier @ 8.15am: Major traffic delays in Helensvale and Arundel this morning, after a bike was hit by a car in the middle of the road.
Traffic is backed up in both directions on Brisbane Road near the Lakeside Country Club, after a person fell from their bike.
The crash happened around 8.00am in the westbound lanes, though has affected traffic throughout the area.
Delays are back toward Pine Ridge Road, with surrounding roads starting to build as well.
Paramedics are now on scene on Brisbane Road, near Marble Arch Place.
The call was made at 8.08am.
No injuries have been reported yet.
