Major delays to Gold Coast train line due to ‘signal issue’
Train commuters are being told to expect ‘major delays’ on trains this morning, due to a signal fault.
Translink made the initial announcement around 8.30am, blaming a “signal issue at Central”.
All outbound trains on the Beenleigh, Cleveland and Gold Coast lines have been delayed by up to 20 minutes.
It’s understood some services have had to be cancelled due to the issue as well.
As of 8.50am, Translink reports the delays are still at around 20 minutes.
It’s not clear when services will be back to normal.
