Major Qld highway closed in both directions following serious crash
The Bruce Highway has been closed in both directions following a serious crash this afternoon.
The accident occurred just south of Gympie at Kybong around 2.15pm.
It’s believed a car rolled, trapping the female driver inside. She has since been cut free by emergency services and is expected to be airlifted to hospital shortly, with a rescue chopper tasked to the scene.
Traffic diversions are in place, with motorists urged to seek alternative routes and avoid the area.
