UPDATE: Elderly man missing from Robina found

UPDATE @ 7.00PM: A man reported missing from Robina, sparking a major search, has been found safe and well.

Police have thanked everyone for their assistance.

EARLIER @ 6.00PM:  A major search is underway this evening for an elderly man reported missing in Robina.

The 78-year-old was last seen leaving Robina Hospital around 11am.

Officers are scouring the area on the ground while POLAIR is also assisting in the search.

Hewas believed to be wearing a striped shirt and black pants and may have had a walking frame.

It’s understood he suffers a medical condition and Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare.

Residents are urged to check their properties, yards and sheds.
