A major search continues this morning for a man, who went missing after going for a paddle in dangerous surf conditions at North Stradbroke Island.
The large-scale rescue operation began yesterday after two men failed to return from a mid-morning surf ski expedition between Dunwich and Cylinder Beach.
At around 8pm on Saturday, one of the missing men, a 28-year-old, had managed to paddle to Amity Point Wharf.

However, a 26-year-old man is still missing.
An air search continued through the night but has so far turned up nothing.
The search has been expanded this morning due to the hazardous sea conditions.
Fifteen vessels and four helicopters are involved and there will be a land search of Moreton and North Stradbroke Islands.
Anyone with information regarding the remaining man’s current location is urged to contact police immediately.
