THERE will be no trains for Gold Coasters this weekend with major works set to shut down much of the south east’s train network.
TransLink has confirmed from the first service on Saturday 13 June until the last service on Sunday 14 June, tracks will be closed on the Gold Coast, CBD, Beenleigh, Cleveland, Ipswich/Rosewood and Springfield lines.
Things will return to normal for Monday June 15. However, more works will see the closures of the Gold Coast, Cleveland and Beenleigh tracks overnight on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Works on the Cross River Rail as well as general maintenance is believed to be behind the closures.

Timetabled railbuses will replace trains between Bowen Hills and Albion to Corinda, Murarrie and Yeerongpilly stations.
