Motorists travelling from the Gold Coast to Brisbane are being warned of major delays after a truck broke down on the Gateway Motorway at Belmont.
Only one lane is getting through northbound on the Gateway near the Old Cleveland Rd exit.
There are reports there is also an oil spill on the motorway.

Delays on the Gateway stretch back for approximately 22 kilometres past Eight Mile Plains and onto the M1 to Tanah Merah.
Anyone heading to Brisbane or to Brisbane Airport is being urged to give themselves plenty of extra time, or delay their trip if possible.
It’s been a nightmare run for motorists heading to Brisbane today after a car rolled over on the Logan Motorway earlier this morning.
The accident forced the closure of the westbound lanes which badly impacted the M1.
