UPDATE 8am: A THREE-vehicle accident has now been cleared from the Pacific Motoray at Pimpama.
The cars came together just after 5am near the Pimpama River Bridge and led to major traffic chaos for the peak morning run into Brisbane.
Congestion continues from Helensvale to Pimpama, but is hoped to ease soon with all lanes now reopened.

Earlier: DELAYS are continuing for the Friday morning peak run on the M1.
Crews remain at the scene of a three-vehicle crash on the Pacific Motorway northbound at Pimpama, with the left lane blocked to traffic.
The accident happened at the Pimpama River Bridge just after 5am.
One person has been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with neck and chest pain. Two other patients have also been transported with unknown injuries, but are in stable conditions.
One other person was taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition with unknown injuries.
It’s believed at least one person had to be cut free from their vehicle.
As of 7.30am, it is heavy from Exit 62 to Helensvale all the way to Exit 45 to Oremau.
The good news is, once you clear the crash site, it’s up to speed the way from Ormeau into Brisbane, with only slight congestion through the Logan area at this stage.
