Malcolm Turnbull in NY for first meeting with Donald Trump

The Prime Minister is in New York for his first face-to-face meeting with US President Donald Trump.

Malcolm Turnbull will spend less than 48 hours in the Big Apple before jetting back to Canberra for next week’s Budget.

The PM’s heated phone call with the U-S President earlier this year made headlines around the world.

And now, for the first time, they’ll shake hands tomorrow morning on board a decommissioned World War II ship in New York.

The meeting coincides with commemorations for the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea.

It’s expected regional security will dominate talks, in particular the rising nuclear threat from North Korea.
