Support for Malcolm Turnbull has dropped to below what Tony Abbott received prior to his ousting as prime minister in September last year.
The Australian reports the latest Newspoll has Turnbull’s satisfaction rating at 29 per cent, compared to the 30 per cent Mr Abbott received in his last ranking as leader.

Labor opposition leader Bill Shorten received a rating of 36 per cent.
It’s the third consecutive time Labor has maintained its lead over the coalition, sitting at 52 per cent for the LNP’s 48 per cent on a two-party preferred basis.
The coalition received 38 per cent for the primary vote reading, while Labor are at 37 per cent, Greens at 10 per cent and independent parties at 14 per cent.
