Man, 20, accused of sexually assaulting elderly resident at aged care facility

A YOUNG man has been charged with sexually assaulting a resident at an aged care home in South Australia.

The incident is said to have occurred at a care facility in Adelaide’s western suburbs in April.

Following a protracted police investigation into the allegations, the 20-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday.


He was charged with sexually assaulting the elderly resident and was granted bail overnight.

He was released on the condition that he not attend the care facility or have contact with witnesses.

It is not known if the 20-year-old was visiting or working at the facility at the time of the alleged incident.

The young man from Ridleyton will front Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 12 July.
