A YOUNG man who was found with brutal head injuries at a house in country NSW has sadly died in hospital.
The 29-year-old was found in a house at Forbes, in the state’s Central West, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police say they were called to reports of a man having been injured at the Weelong Place home around 1.20am.

They arrived to find the 29-year-old with significant, life-threatening head injuries.
He was rushed to Forbes Hospital but sadly, there was nothing doctors could do to keep him alive.
Police released a statement late on Sunday, confirming the man had succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital.
Detectives from Lachlan Local Area Command have launched Strike Force Heinrich to investigate the man’s death.
The circumstances surrounding how the man sustained the fatal injuries remain a mystery.
The Weelong Place home has been declared a crime scene and is tonight being examined by forensic officers.
