Man, 21, dies after being shot in the neck outside Sydney home

A MAN aged in his 20s has died after being shot in the throat outside a house in Sydney’s north-west.

Police were called to reports of shots fired on Windsor Road at Baulkham Hills around 9.45pm last night.

When they arrived, they found the 21-year-old victim lying outside a home in a pool of blood.

Police said the man had been shot in the neck. He was barely alive.

The 21-year-old was rushed to Sydney’s Westmead Hospital in a critical condition but the young man sadly succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

Part of Windsor Road was declared a crime scene which was examined by forensic specialists overnight.

A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is today continuing to assist detectives with their investigation.

No charges have yet been laid.
