Man, 23, undergoes surgery after frenzied knife attack

A MAN has undergone surgery after being stabbed multiple times in the chest, leg and arm in a frenzied attack in Sydney.

The 23-year-old man was found bleeding from several stab wounds on Cornelian Avenue at Eagle Vale about 10.50pm last night.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to Liverpool Hospital.

The young man has since undergone surgery and remains in a serious but stable condition, police said.

A short time after finding the man, police arrested a 20-year-old man nearby on Eagle Vale Drive.

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station for questioning and has since been charged with reckless grievous bodily harm,

Refused bail, the 23-year-old from Eschol Park will spend tonight behind bars ahead of his appearance in Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow.
