A MAN will appear in court tomorrow, charged with attempted murder following a stabbing north of Brisbane overnight.

The 28-year-old is accused of attacking two men, aged 40 and 52, with a knife at a house on Batterbsy Street, Caboolture, around 11.30pm.

The younger man was allegedly slashed across the cheek while the 52-year-old was stabbed three times in the leg.

The 40-year-old managed to run out of the house and call police who rushed to the scene and cornered the armed man in the backyard.

The 28-year-old has since been charged with one count each of attempted murder, assault occasioning bodily harm and obstruct police.

He was remanded in custody overnight and is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on Monday.

The man in his 50s was taken to Caboolture Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the 40-year-old was treated by paramedics at the scene.
