A SOUTH Australian man will appear in a Queensland court in June, charged with 80 historic child sex offences.
The 71-year-old was arrested in South Australia last month following a protracted investigation into alleged child sex offences committed against a boy under the age of 17 in Queensland and New South Wales between 1979 and 1986.
The man was charged with 20 counts of indecent treatment of a child under 17 and was extradited to Queensland where he appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 29.

In a statement on Tuesday, Queensland Police revealed the 71-year-old has since been charged with an additional 60 offences following an investigation into allegations from three other victims.
Police said the latest charges related to alleged offences committed against three boys under the age of 18 in Queensland between 1981 and 2001.
Some of the 60 charges include 41 counts of indecent treatment of a child and five counts of sexual assault.
The man fronted Redcliffe Magistrates Court yesterday where he was remanded in custody to re-appear on June 26.
