Man accused of impersonating a police officer due in court

A man who allegedly pretended to be a Police Officer will face Blacktown Local Court on Thursday.

Detectives formed Strike Force Mainsbridge in March 2016 to investigate property-related crimes targeting residential premises within Baulkham Hills and neighbouring suburbs.

They arrested a 20-year-old man at Nowra on Wednesday.

He has been charged with 10 counts of aggravated break, enter and steal in company, robbery in company, knowingly drive vehicle in manner menaces, and impersonate police officer.

Police allege the break-ins occurred between 7 and 30 March 2016, while the impersonate charge relates to an incident at Baulkham Hills on 30 March, when a man allegedly claimed to be an undercover officer.

The man was bail refused bail and will appear in court on Thursday.
