Man accused of kicking, trying to bite couple in road rage attack

A MAN has been charged after allegedly trying to bite a couple during a road rage attack in Brisbane’s south yesterday.

Police said the 40-year-old man was driving one of two cars involved in a “minor traffic crash” outbound on the Pacific Motorway near Juliette Street around 5pm.

It’s alleged the man sped off following the collision, before pulling over on the side of the motorway a short distance away in Rochedale.

The occupants of the second vehicle, a 68-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man, also stopped and got out of their car to take photographs of the man’s vehicle.

That’s when it is alleged the man lashed out, kicking the couple and attempting to bite them.

Police said the man then fled the scene but was arrested after allegedly trying to break into a car on Algona Street a short time later.

The man has since been charged with two counts of serious assault person over 60, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence and one count of attempted robbery.

He is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
