A man has been fined after he was busted breaching coronavirus public health orders after entering NSW from Victoria on a boat.
Officers from Marine Area Command attempted to speak with the man on a vessel east of Cronulla around 4.00pm on Tuesday, after becoming suspicious the boat had travelled from the COVID-19 hotspot of Victoria.
However, the 61-year-old refused to disembark the boat and allegedly became aggressive towards officers, with police alleging that he threatened them with a knife.

Specialist officers were called in a short time later and boarded the vessel, where the man was tasered before being taken into custody.
He was then transported to Sutherland Hospital for treatment before being released and charged with not comply with noticed direction – COVID-19.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Thursday 10 September.
