Man accused of with feeding girl alcohol, drugs before sex attack

A MAN has been charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl known to him at a home in Sydney’s south.

The 22-year-old is accused of feeding the girl alcohol and drugs before abusing her at a home in Belfield last year.

Police allege the man sexually and indecently assaulted the child once on Friday, 31 August and again two days later.

Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad were made aware of the allegations in November.

Following extensive inquiries, the 22-year-old man was arrested at Burwood Local Court today on Thursday.

He has since been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault – victim under the age of 16 years, and indecently assaulting a person under 16 years of age.

Police allege the man was a friend of the girl’s family.

He was remanded in custody overnight and due to appear in Burwood Local Court today.
