Man accused of trying to stab woman to death in Brisbane home

A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly tried killing a woman in a frenzied domestic violence attack at a house in Brisbane’s north.

The 29-year-old is accused of stabbing the 31-year-old woman multiple times inside the Lazenby Street home at McDowall just before 1pm on Saturday.

Police and paramedics arrived to find the woman injured inside the home with multiple serious knife wounds.


She was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Police said the woman was transported in a serious condition.

The 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene and later charged with attempted murder.

He is expected to front Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on Monday.
