Man airlifted after becoming trapped in potato harvester

A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after becoming trapped in a potato harvester for more than 25 minutes.

Emergency crews rushed to a Crowley Vale property, in Queensland’s Lockyer Valley, just after 7.30am today after receiving reports of the horror accident.

They desperately worked to free the man, believed to be aged in his 50s, from the piece of farming equipment.

He was then treated on scene by paramedics for a serious leg injury.

A LifeFlight rescue chopper was also tasked to the scene, airlifting the man to the Toowoomba Base Hospital.

He’s understood to be in a stable condition.
