Man airlifted to hospital after crashing ute into Qld home

A man has been airlifted to hospital after he lost control of his ute and smashed into the side of a house near Beaudesert this morning.

The 54-year-old, from New South Wales, was travelling along the Mount Lindesay Highway around 8.00am when the incident occurred.

Ambulance and Fire and Emergency Service crews were first on the scene and worked to free the man who was trapped in his vehicle for almost an hour.

The man was then treated at the scene by a LifeFlight Critical Care doctor for suspected head, neck and pelvic injuries before being airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital by the Brisbane-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew.
