A man has been flown to hospital on the Gold Coast after suffering serious burns in an explosion at Banora Point.
Emergency crews were called to a home along Franklin Street around 10.45am following reports a machine had caught alight.
The man, aged in his 40s, suffered significant burns to his legs and arms.

A NSW Ambulance spokesperson told myGC he also sustained minor burns to his face.
The Westpac Rescue chopper was tasked to the scene and has since airlifted the man to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
The spokesperson confirmed he is in a serious condition.
