Man airlifted to hospital after dirt bike crash on northern GC

A man has been flown to hospital following a nasty dirt bike crash on the Northern Gold Coast this morning.

Emergency crews, including the High Acuity Response Unit, were called to a location off Upper Ormeau Road in Kingsholme just before 8.00am.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC a man in his 40s suffered a significant leg injury after coming off his bike.


He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

It comes after a man in his 20s was seriously injured in a car rollover at Bonogin overnight.

The vehicle is believed to have rolled down an embankment around 2.30am, with the man suffering signficant chest injuries.

He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
