Man allegedly stabbed through open car window on the Gold Coast

Investigations are underway after a man was stabbed through a car window last night.

Police were called to the scene at Coomera City Shopping Centre around 7.30pm, following reports of a wounding.

The man allegedly told police he was sitting in his car on Bull Road earlier, when he was approached by a man who was known to him.

The man allegedly stabbed him in the torso through his open car window.

The injured man then drove himself to the shopping centre, where he contacted emergency services.

He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses say a crime scene was set up around the car at the shopping centre.

Investigations are continuing.
