Man ambushed, chased into neighbours house and bashed in Sydney
A man is recovering in hospital after being attacked at his front door and then chased down and bashed inside his neighbours house in a terrifying ambush in Sydney’s south-west overnight.
The 28-year-old victim was allegedly first assaulted by two males after answering a knock at the front door of his Roberts Way home at Claymore at around 8.40pm on Saturday.
Police said the two males then chased the man to a neighbour’s home where it’s alleged he hid inside.
The two offenders allegedly forced their way inside the house and bashed the man a second time before fleeing the scene.
The 28-year-old was taken to Liverpool Hospital with facial injuries.
He remains in hospital this morning in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established at the Roberts Way house and detectives from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command have commenced an investigation.
Police said initial investigations suggested the incident was targeted.
