Man and boy arrested over robbery at NSW brothel

A teenager and a man will appear in court today following an alleged robbery of a brothel in Granville on Tuesday morning.

About 1.15am (Tuesday 14 July 2015) three males entered the brothel via a front window on Cowper Street and allegedly threatened two employees, demanding money.

They fled the scene a short time later, taking cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

Officers attached to Rosehill Local Area Command were alerted of the incident and commenced inquiries.

Following investigations, about 3.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 15 July 2015), police arrested a 17-year-old male on Pegler Avenue, South Granville.

He was taken to Parramatta Police Station and charged with aggravated break, enter and steal in company, and breach of bail. He has been refused bail, to appear at children’s court today (Thursday 16 July 2015).

About 4.30pm, a 20-year-old man was arrested on Brunswick Street, Granville, and taken to Parramatta Police Station.

He has been charged with aggravated break, enter and steal in company, and breach of bail. He has also been refused bail, to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Thursday 16 July 2015).

Inquiries into the incident continue.
