Officers from Police Transport Command have arrested a man and a woman following an alleged murder in Sydney’s west at the weekend.
About 7.30pm yesterday (Sunday 30 August 2015), police attended a unit on Andover Crescent, Hebersham, where they found the body of a 26-year-old man inside a bedroom.
Detectives from Mt Druitt Local Area Command and State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad launched an investigation under Strike Force Meldrum.

As a result of their inquiries, a 29-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested by officers from Police Transport Command at Central Railway Station about 8am today (Monday 31 August 2015).
The man was taken to Surry Hills Police Station and subsequently charged with murder and an outstanding warrant.
He has been refused bail to appear at Central Local Court later today (Monday 31 August 2015).
The woman was taken to Sydney City Police Station, where she is assisting detectives with their inquiries.
