Man and woman charged with trafficking dangerous drugs from Burleigh Waters home

Investigators from the Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad have today closed a five-month operation targeting drug trafficking on the Gold Coast.

Operation North Maintain focused on a man and woman who were allegedly trafficking dangerous drugs from a Burleigh Waters residence.

The investigation commenced earlier this year after police received information from members of the public through Crime Stoppers.

The operation resulted in police seizing a quantity of Cannabis, cash and property allegedly associated with the sale and distribution of dangerous drugs.

A total of 13 people have been charged on 18 drug-related offences as part of the operation.

A 34-year-old Burleigh Waters woman has been charged with one count of trafficking in dangerous drugs and three counts of supplying dangerous drugs.

A 46-year-old Burleigh Waters man has been charged with one count of trafficking in dangerous drugs and two counts of supplying dangerous drugs.

The pair are expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court later today.
