Man to appear in court over “Mustang murder” case

A Brisbane man is due to appear in court today charged with the murder of Samuel Thompson who disappeared more than three weeks ago.

His distinctive bright orange Mustang was found in northern NSW several days later.

Charges were laid yesterday after police seized a white Chrysler car and searched a landfill site at Ipswich.

The 23-year-old from suburban Bald Hills has also been charged with one count of interfering with a corpse.

Mr Thompson’s remains are yet to be found.
