An emergent situation has been declared at a Crossdale property near Esk, with a man barricading himself inside, armed with a rifle.
Police were called to a property on Keen Road, off Stanley Pocket Road around 8.30am this morning, where they located a man at the property armed with a rifle.
No one else is believed to be in the house with the man.

The declaration of an emergent situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act was made just after 9.40am today and encompasses an area of 1 kilometre around the property.
No one has been injured and police remain at the scene.
