Man arrested after 16yo boy found stabbed to death

A man has been arrested after a teenage boy was found with fatal stab wounds at a home near Wagga Wagga overnight.

Police say that at about 8pm yesterday, emergency services were called to a home at Kooringal following reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers located a 16-year-old boy in a house suffering multiple injuries. He was treated by paramedics however died at the scene.


A crime scene was established and a short time later, police were told about a man who left the home, then allegedly stole a car.

A 29-year-old man was arrested about 11pm in Big Springs, 20km south east of Wagga Wagga, after police located a stolen Toyota.

The man was taken to Wagga Rural Referral Hospital where he was checked before being release into police custody. He is now at Wagga Wagga Police Station assisting police with their inquiries.
