A man has been arrested in northern NSW after a young woman was allegedly abducted from her home in Brisbane and assaulted.
The 50-year-old man was taken into custody at Grafton yesterday and is expected to be extradited back to Queensland today to face charges of deprivation of liberty, kidnapping, common assault, enter premises to commit indictable offence among others.
A 22-year-old woman told police that she was kidnapped from her home in Darra about 8.00pm on Monday, held against her will, assaulted and threatened with further violence.

The young woman was allegedly driven to several locations before being released around 1.30pm yesterday when she raised the alarm.
She was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The man is expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
Investigations are continuing.
