Man arrested after allegedly ploughing car into Robina pub

Investigations are continuing after a man allegedly drove his car into a tavern in Robina overnight.

It all unfolded around 8.30pm, when the man was reportedly asked to leave the licenced premises.

The man, believed to be aged in his late 20s, then jumped into his vehicle before allegedly reversing into the front doors of the building off Saint John Court.

A Queensland Police spokesperson told myGC he allegedly fled the scene following the crash but was taken into custody nearby.

He was then transported to Gold Coast University hospital with minor injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.

No charges have been laid over the incident at this stage.

Thankfully everyone inside the tavern managed to escape uninjured.
