Police have charged a man after an alleged armed robbery and evade police incident in Southport yesterday.
Just after 8pm officers conducting patrols noticed a vehicle driving erratically on Bundall Road.
When police attempted to intercept the vehicle it is alleged the vehicle accelerated away and collided with two vehicles near High and North Streets. The vehicle is alleged to have left the scene of the crash.

It will be further alleged that the man drove to a Smith Street service station, entered the business armed with a gun and made demands for cigarettes. The male attendant complied with demands and the man left the store to be confronted by police.
The man was detained and arrested. No one was injured during either of the incidents.
A 28-year-old Labrador man has been charged with armed robbery, dangerous operation of a vehicle, fail to stop, unlawful possession of weapons, possess tainted property.
He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrate’s Court today.
