A man has been arrested and charged after a hidden camera was found in the male public toilet at a Shopping Centre in Perth.
The 51-year-old man hid the camera inside a domestic smoke alarm and then attached it to the ceiling in the bathroom.
An electrician made the discovery after noticing it flashing while he was in the men’t bathroom.

After alerting centre management and police, the electrician posted a warning on Facebook for people to “check for domestic battery operated smoke alarms or any thing dodgy before entering a public toilet”, the Daily Mail reports.
The 51-year-old man has been charged with unlawfully installing an optical surveillance device and is set to face Perth Magistrates Court today.
