Police conducted patrols of the area and spotted the car on Longueville Road, Lane Cove, and attempted to pull it over.

When the taxi allegedly failed to stop, a pursuit took place; which went through the north shore, northern beaches and Ryde areas.

A 21-year-old man was arrested without further incident and was taken to Chatswood Police Station, where he is assisting with inquiries.
