A man has been arrested and charged after allegedly threatening a woman and trying to smash his way into her home in Sydney’s south-west.
The 31-year-old is accused of breaking into the backyard of the Dandenong Crescent address at around 9pm on Friday before trying to force entry into the house.
Police said a 37-year-old woman refused to let the man in, at which point the man allegedly smashed a window and threatened the woman before running off.

The woman called police who raced to the area and searched for the man, allegedly finding him in the backyard of a nearby home.
He was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with intimidation and malicious damage.
He was bail refused to appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
