A MAN whose car collided with a school bus at Tweed Heads yesterday has been arrested after running off from the crash scene.
The accident happened on Wharf Street, about 3.20pm on Thursday.
Police said 15 students were trapped in the bus for a short time as a result of the crash. Luckily, no one was seriously injured and the children were transported home a short time later.

The driver of the car and a male passenger fled the scene before police arrived, leaving behind an injured 40-year-old woman who was trapped in the vehicle.
She was rescued by emergency services and taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Following investigations, officers attended a nearby home and arrested a 24-year-old man.
He was taken to Tweed Heads Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing and is currently assisting police with inquiries.
