Man charged with murder of 2yo Khandalyce Pearce

UPDATE: Daniel James Holdom has been charged with the murder of two-year-old Khandalyce Pearce, whose body was found in a suitcase on the side of a South Australia highway earlier this year.

Detectives charged the 41-year-old after he was placed into police custody at Parramatta Police Station at 10.00am today.

He is expected to appear at Parramatta Local Court this afternoon.

Holdom has already been charged with the murder of the toddlers mother Karlie Pearce-Stevenson.

Karlie’s remains were discovered in the Belanglo State Forest, NSW, in August 2010, but remained unidentified until this year after Khandalyce’s remains were discovered in a suitcase on a roadside at Wynarka, South Australia, in July.

Detectives continue to appeal for anyone with information about their deaths to come forward.

EARLIER: Police have arrested a man and are expected to charge him with the murder of toddler Khandalyce Pearce today.

Daniel James Holdom, 41, was arrested at 10.00am on Tuesday and is currently being interviewed by detectives at Parramatta Police Station.

Detectives anticipate he will be charged with one count of murder relating to the death of Khandalyce.

Khandalyce was found in a suitcase on the side of a South Australia highway in July this year.

Holdom has already been charged with the murder of the toddlers mother Karlie Pearce-Stevenson.

Karlie’s remains were found in the Belanglo Forest in NSW in 2010.
