Man arrested after family threatened with gun in terrifying home invasion

A man has been arrested after a family were threatened with a gun during a terrifying home invasion in Sydney’s west.

The frightening invasion occurred more than two months ago when four armed men forced their way into a house at Shalvey and forced a 51-year-old man to the ground.

A 45-year-old woman, 25-year-old man and nine-year-old girl were also home at the time, however escaped unharmed.

During the invasion, one of the men fired a shot into a television, before they took the keys to a blue Holden Commodore and fled the home.

 

Following ongoing investigations, about 8.45am today, a 25-year-old man was arrested during a vehicle stop at Dharruk.

He has been taken to Mt Druitt Police Station, where he is assisting with inquiries.
