Man arrested at Heathrow Airport in relation to Manchester concert bombing

A man has been arrested at Heathrow Airport in connection with the investigation into the Manchester Arena terrorist attack.

Greater Manchester Police say the 38-year-old was taken into custody on “suspicion of offences contrary to the Terrorism Act”.

Police confirmed the arrest was “planned beforehand” and that there was no direct threat to the airport.

So far, 19 people have been arrested in connection with the investigation, of which 12 people have since been released without charge.

Seven men remain in custody for questioning.
