Man arrested after leading police on wild chase through Logan

A man has been arrested and is due to face court today after going on a dangerous rampage through Logan yesterday.

Police say that around 2.30pm, officers observed a white car being driven in a dangerous manner along Kingston Road.

Police attempted to intercept the vehicle however it failed to comply and sped off, running through red lights.


Police ceased the attempt to intercept the vehicle and it continued to drive on the Logan Motorway, where it collided with another vehicle.

Shortly after, police located the vehicle in a street in Wishart and saw the man sitting in the car, allegedly smoking an unknown substance from a glass pipe.

Police placed the man under arrest and a search of the vehicle allegedly found a quantity of drugs and a sum of cash.

The man was transported to the Princess Alexandria Hospital for a medical check and was later transported to the Beenleigh Watch-house.

A 25-year-old Mount Warren Park man was charged with multiple offences including two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle and adversely affect by an intoxicating substance.

He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
